Our client based in South Molton are seeking a Foundry Dewaxing/Castering Operative to join their teams.
You will be accountable for preparing and casting aluminium aerospace parts within cycle time specified, and to the required standards.
Key responsibilities will include:
Preparing and dewaxing of moulds using an autoclave
Preparing and completing the firing process on shell moulds
Preparation of melt charges
Pouring of molten metal (aluminium) into moulds
Actively contribute within the foundry finishing area
Assist the team members in any other activity to complete daily tasks.
Plan and schedule work and ensure best flow of work is adhered to within area.
Follow strict health and safety guidelines and aptitude for identifying hazards.
Work closely and safely with team members to ensure good team ethics and co-operation.
Monday-Thursday 8.00-16.45 and Friday 8.00-12.00
Experience required:
Ideally candidate will have proven experience in a similar foundry based / manufacturing role
Proven experience of following strict health and safety guidelines and aptitude for identifying hazards
Understand written instructions and comply with company processes and procedures
Be able to interpret drawings and marry up the part numbers on specified component parts to ensure correct materials
are utilized for the appropriate cast
Ability to interpret information on the routing cards to specified standards in the casting of the shell moulds.
Ability to prepare and cast shell moulds in accordance with job card routines and set procedures.
