Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Chef to join our vibrant kitchen team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our culinary offerings meet the highest standards of quality and presentation. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes while maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment. Duties
1. Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards by the head chef.
2. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
3. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
4. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
5. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and report shortages to the head chef.
6. Participate in the training of new kitchen staff as needed.
Skills
1. Strong culinary skills with experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment.
2. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
3. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
4. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
5. A proactive attitude towards meal preparation and food presentation.
6. Capability to follow instructions precisely while also being able to contribute creatively to menu items.
