(Funtime Games project) We are looking for a Volunteers Co-ordinator to develop and lead our volunteer strategy for our Funtime Games project. You will be responsible for all aspects of volunteering including recruitment, induction, training, support, and volunteer engagement and retention. Our volunteers provide practical help to support the development of our gaming project for young people and their families.
In this role, you will be coordinating and supporting a team of volunteers. You need a friendly demeanour and an ability to get on with people from different backgrounds and age groups. You will be an important member of our small and welcoming team, working closely with the CEO/Director of Wakefield team to deliver a great volunteer experience and service to young people. Working remotely, you will be helping Think Cre8tive Group CIC develop and grow its Funtime Games UK project to become sustainable.

You will need: Access to a computer.
Role Description:
1. Responsible for engaging, developing, and supporting volunteers.
2. Work closely with our CEO/Director of Wakefield team to manage volunteers (develop, train, support, monitor, and analyze volunteer involvement).
3. Liaise with the CEO/Director of Wakefield team office team regarding volunteer roles and their requirements.
4. Maintain volunteer database and records.
5. Manage the development and update of policies and procedures that are fundamental to volunteering.
6. Provide support, supervision, and guidance to volunteers.
Experience:
1. Experience of supporting, supervising, and guiding volunteers.
2. Experience of delivering induction and training programmes for volunteers.
3. Knowledge of best practices in volunteer management.
4. The ability to build effective relationships and excellent communication skills.
5. Strong administration and IT skills.
6. Knowledge and experience of using communication apps/software such as Discord.
7. Experience of using MS Office & Google Drive.
These are not exhaustive and may change as the business develops. A passion for mental health and helping young people to thrive is a plus.
Your role as a volunteer co-ordinator is vital in making our project thrive. With your support, we can amplify our impact, fostering positive mental health outcomes and ensuring that all young people feel they belong, feel safe, and are celebrated regardless of their differences.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an informal chat with the CEO/Wakefield Director via Zoom/MS Teams. Wakefield Team works in and around the Wakefield District developing creative intervention projects for health and wellbeing.
