Controls Engineer Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise manufacturing processes.
2. Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs (Siemens S7, TIA) to enhance plant efficiency and address production issues.
3. Continuously refine control systems to improve cycle times and reliability while adhering to established programming standards for PLCs and robotic systems.
4. Mentor and train other team members on PLC programming and automation best practices.
Desirable Skills and Experience
1. Experience working in a similar role (Automation Engineer etc).
2. Knowledge of modern manufacturing methods and techniques.
3. Confident in writing and fault-finding PLC programs using the Siemens S7 / TIA portal.
4. Electrical engineering education (HNC/HNC) or relevant training.
