Job Purpose: I am a 21 year old male looking for a Personal Assistant to support me in my home and to help me access social and leisure activities in the community. I have been diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and ME, which cause me extreme fatigue and other associated issues. Some days I will prefer you to support me in the house but I would really like to continue attending clubs and to find and try out some new clubs and activities. I like to visit friends, have days out and go shopping. You will also support me to attend college or access some voluntary work. You must be able to drive my wheelchair accessible vehicle to do this. I really enjoy art and gaming both online and board games. It would be great if you share the same interests as me and can help me with my art and other projects. You will help me to prepare lunch or another meal. We have a friendly dog and 3 cats. Location: Upwell, PE14 Personal Specification: Essential: · Sociable and enthusiastic · Confident and patient. · Aged over 21 to drive my vehicle. · Full clean UK driving licence. · Comfortable with cats and dogs. Summary Terms and Conditions - The rate of pay for this position is £11.68 per hour. - Hours and times of work as follows: 15 hours per week ideally including Wednesday evenings (days and times to be discussed at interview). - The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks. - Access to free Care Skills training for employer workers. - If this job requires; Manual Handling, Handling of hazardous chemicals and/or Food Handling you will be required undertake annual training. - You will be reimbursed for any agreed expenses incurred as part of the role.
