An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Children and Young People's Integrated Mental Health Commissioning team as a Children and Young people's mental health programme manager. You will work within the Urgent and Emergency Care (UEC) and Eating Disorder Programme of work. The UEC and Eating Disorder programme of work includes projects and business as usual work such as, but not limited to: Overseeing commissioned contracts such as CYP Crisis services, and under 18 eating disorder / disordered eating services. Both within the community and acute hospitals. Exploring and implementing pilots or research initiatives such as the Clinically Excess Weight pilot or analysing the impact of a commissioned service, disordered eating counselling on outcomes. Procurement and implementation of commissioned services, sometimes working alongside adult mental health colleagues. The development of the CYP UEC Strategy. Review of Acute hospital paediatric mental health provision. Review and refinement to the CYP UEC service pathways. You will play a key quality improvement role in an ambitious programme of work which aims to transform our approach to supporting the mental and emotional health needs of our 0 to 25-year-old population. Main duties of the job The role supports the system in driving transformation as well as value for money in planning and commissioning support for CYP mental health and wellbeing. The role is designed to build a combination of subject matter expertise and technical skills to assist in the development of innovative approaches to service transformation in CYP mental health across the system. The post-holder will work in close partnership with CYP, families and carers, providers, third sector, key stakeholders and co-commissioners including local authorities.
