HSE Coordinator with advanced knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation, who is passionate about Health & Safety and has experience within a manufacturing or similar environment is required for a global company based in Blaenau Ffestiniog, Gwynedd, Wales.

JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an HSE Coordinator with advanced knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation, who is passionate about Health & Safety and has experience within a manufacturing or similar environment.
Working as the HSE Coordinator you will assist with all areas of H&S across the site and in alignment with the company’s requirements, supporting the wider Health & Safety Team, with a focus on maintaining compliance with all legislation and promoting a positive H&S culture.
As the HSE Coordinator you will conduct regular site visits and documented inspections.
DUTIES
1. Supporting the Plant and overseeing HSE standards across all UK & Eire company sites.
2. Regular site visits across the UK.
3. Ensuring that all Health and Safety standards and procedures are correct and aligned with UK and Republic of Ireland legislation and Group requirements, with a focus on promoting a positive HSE culture.
4. Conduct regular documented inspections across all sites.
5. Collate and analyse audit, inspection, accident, incident and near miss data along with other key HSE performance data.
6. Assisting in the development and monitoring of safe systems of work, risk assessments and other key HSE documentation.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
1. An advanced knowledge of overarching Health, Safety and Environmental legislation with a willingness to research industry best practice and innovative ways of working towards compliance with that legislation.
2. IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management or equivalent.
3. A great attitude towards teamwork and continuous improvement.
4. Passionate about health and safety.
5. Excellent IT and communication skills.
6. Strong Knowledge of ISO45001 and ISO14001 standards.
7. Understanding of ISO50001 standard.
8. Experience of a manufacturing type environment.
9. Full driving licence & own vehicle.
