As the Data Architect the successful candidate ill create, optimise, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support the enterprise data strategy Key Responsibilities as the Data Architect: Design, optimize, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models to align with the enterprise data strategy. Define and implement data management strategies, including data governance, metadata management, and data quality controls to ensure data integrity and consistency. Select suitable database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, Data Lakes) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to support the organisation's data infrastructure. Develop and manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for seamless integration of data from multiple sources into centralised systems. Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data analysts, data engineers, and clients to gather requirements and deliver scalable data solutions. Ensure data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) through the application of data encryption and anonymisation techniques. Create detailed documentation of data architecture, flows, and processes to facilitate continuous improvement and knowledge sharing. Professional experience required: Possess over 5 years of experience in data architecture, database design, or data engineering roles. Demonstrate proven expertise with database management systems, including Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL, along with data warehousing technologies. Experienced in cloud-based data solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP platforms. Familiar with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka. Technical Skills: Proficient in data modelling concepts (ERD, normalization) and data warehousing principles. Strong knowledge of ETL frameworks and tools (e.g., Talend, Informatica, Apache NiFi). Skilled in programming languages including SQL, Python, and Java. Competent in using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and implementing data visualisation best practices.
