This is an exciting opportunity to join our Coronary Care Unit and Cardiac Catheter Laboratory team. CCU is a busy 11 bedded high dependency unit nursing elective and emergency cardiology admissions. In addition, the role will involve rotation into the Cardiac Catheter Laboratory and recovery areas.
You will need to be well motivated and committed to high standards of patient care and personal, professional development. The team is both friendly and supportive, with a strong commitment to providing a high standard of care.
We will provide a supportive atmosphere, mentorship and clinical supervision in the unit and are committed to professional development of all staff. This includes training and support for assisting allied healthcare professional teams with imaging services- including cardiac CT and nuclear imaging, and complex echocardiography.
As well as our elective and primary angioplasty services, we undertake complex pacing and have a variety of well established electrophysiology and arrhythmia services, including AF and VT ablation and nurse-led DC Cardioversion service.
We have strong links with the University of Brighton and encourage further education and gaining qualifications within the field of cardiology. Multi-disciplinary team working with allied healthcare professionals and senior nurses is an integral part of this unit, with all staff enabled and empowered to make a real difference for their patients.
