Overall Objectives:
Assist the Quantity Surveyor in all relevant commercial and contractual activities associated with schemes and projects.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Assist with contract administration of sub-contracts
2. Help ensure the timely and accurate assessment and payment of sub-contractor’s applications and issue payment notifications to sub-contractors
3. Support the preparation of interim valuations and final accounts
4. Provide measurement of quantities both on site and from drawings, where required
5. Timely and accurate evaluation of variations/provisional sum expenditure and monitoring of the same
6. Civils Monitor weekly direct labour & plant subcontractor payments
7. Assist with cost management
8. Assist with internal valuations, sub-contract liabilities and cost value reconciliations
9. Work closely with Site Managers to monitor progress and its effect on margin and program
10. Ensure good quality, accurate records are submitted and maintained on shared drive and Viewpoint
11. Delay identification/notification/ in tandem with Quantity Surveying line manager
12. Provide support and guidance to Trainee Quantity Surveyor as required
13. Build relationships with supply chain, colleagues, client & design team
14. Act as part of a team to deliver activities that support operational objectives

19. Maintaining deadlines in line with monthly commercial calendar

Qualifications & Experience:
21. 5 GCSE (Grade A-C or 4- 9) or equivalent including Maths and English
22. HNC or equivalent -essential
23. Working knowledge of contract conditions such as NEC, JCT-desirable
24. CSCS card -desirable
25. Valid Driving Licence
