Management Accountant - Temp to Perm - North Manchester - £35,000 - £40,000 DOE
Our client is a long-standing business that has nearly doubled turnover in the last 2 years, securing and winning lucrative contracts with iconic brands. This temp to perm Management Accountant role will report into the Finance Director while working closely with the team to complete various daily and weekly tasks accurately. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone immediately available who would like to work for a growing business.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements.
2. Monthly management accounts reporting, analysis, and commentary.
3. Advanced use of Excel.
4. Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
5. Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that support business objectives.
6. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
7. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to guide organizational planning.
8. VAT return reconciliation.
9. Preparation & posting of accruals/prepayments.
10. Maintaining Fixed Asset Register (FAR).
11. Preparing a 13-week rolling cashflow forecast along with variances.
12. The role might include some transactional processes from time to time to assist the accounts assistants in busy periods, so knowledge of AR/AP will be desirable.
Skills:
1. Part-Qualified/Finalist ACCA or CIMA, with exceptionally strong financial and management accounting skills and experience.
2. Strong Excel skills.
3. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
4. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
5. Effective communication skills.
6. A solid understanding of financial accounting standards and regulations.
7. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or other ERP systems is desirable but not essential (currently we are still on Sage50 but will migrate to BC within Q1 next year).
