We are seeking an experienced oil & gas Cost Controller for our Operator client in Aberdeen to provide control to budget holders of operations, maintenance, inspection, modifications and capital budgets as well as supporting cost control of key services contracts.
This is a 12 month PAYE contract position starting asap.
Hybrid working pattern, 3/2.
EXPERIENCE SOUGHT
1. Experience in a Cost orientated role previously.
2. Oil & Gas Experience.
3. Previous experience in SAP preferable.
4. Competent in Microsoft Excel.
The Cost Controller will support all elements of procurement, variation control, time-writing and cost forecasting to ensure proactive cost management aligned with workscope requirements.
Responsibilities include:
1. Review accuracy of key contract monthly cost reports, comparing with Business Plan; report variances.
2. Identify trends, inefficiencies and cost savings to drive efficiencies from key contracts.
3. Review Change Order requests to ensure PO uplifts are raised and approved ahead of work starting.
4. Monthly Cost report accrual and forecast of OPEX, updating Cost trackers to support month end processes.
5. Download data from SAP and provide analysis of VOWD. Liaise with JREs and Finance.
6. Provide time-writing analysis of applicable operated assets and follow up with late timesheet entries.
7. Review and maintain Purchase Orders, ensuring they are current and old POs are closed out.
8. Provide assurance for new POs raised ensuring correct coding prior to being entered to SAP and that the Procure to Pay process is being followed.
9. Provide cover for Cost Assistant to raise Service/Purchase Requisitions and the Service Entry of invoices and pro-formas in SAP.
