Job Description
Provide new business quotations for Charity Insurance and all classes ofCommercial Insurance on request, providing relevant advice, information andguidance. Where client requests are beyond your range of experience orauthority, immediate referral to be made to the Head of Department or otherauthorised person.* Take instructions from new clients, ensuring cover commences at the correcttime, all relevant paperwork is completed, premium is collected and relevantrecords and diary entries are created. Where Employers Liability is included, thiswill also involve issuing the Certificate of Insurance and Policy Schedule, anddespatchingdespatching to the client with the correct policy document.* Take instructions from existing clients in respect of alterations to current policies,ensuring insurers are notified and records updated.* Offer renewal of existing clients'clients' policies with current insurer or move to newinsurer, as appropriate. In each case, ensure relevant paperwork is completed,premium is collected and relevant records and diary entries are created.* Check thoroughly all client documentation before despatchdespatch, ensuring queries areraised and amendments completed.* Control your own diary system, ensuring all items are followed up by the duedates, particularly in relation to outstanding documentation from clients orinsurers, premium payments and continuation cover notes if appropriate.* Filing of digital client files on a daily basisProvide risk advice/risk management/risk prevention information on Non-Motor risks to clients, in conjunction with Underwriters, as appropriate.* Assist, when required, with the Accounts function of the business in carrying out credit control with relevant clients.* Any other duties that may be required by your Manager in accordance with the nature of this job.

The FCAFCA Rules* The principles, practices and legalities of all major classes of General Insurance and in particular, insurable interest, utmost good faith, indemnity, contribution, average and subrogationsubrogation.* The UK General Insurance market in respect of Commercial & Charity insurances.* Underwriting and rating factors, and how these are applied in relation to all major classes of Commercial insurance.* The range of Commercial Lines & Charity products offered by the Company and the handling procedures for each of them.* The Company's Complaints Procedure.* The operation of the Company's IT system, including procedures, authority limits and audit trails, and in particular, the operations and functions related to transacting business via EDIEDI.The jobRehabilitation of Offenders, Disability Discrimination and Race Relations Acts.* Fair Treatment of Vulnerable Customers* The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPRGDPR)* Requirements of money laundering legislation.* The Law of Agency.* Credit management procedures.
