The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Certification and Conformance Regulatory Affairs Associate for the 3M Personal Safety Division at 3M United Kingdom, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.
Here, you will make an impact by:
* Identifying the regulatory product certification requirements for assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) portfolios and geographies
* Preparing, maintaining and submitting regulatory documentation for product certification schemes applicable to product portfolio in division and corporate systems
* Actively working with appropriate test labs, notified bodies and agencies to submit products and technical files for certification, accelerate the process when necessary and arrange manufacturing site audits as required to ensure conformance of products
* Reviewing and approving packaging, markings and Information supplied with products to ensure compliance to appropriate European standards and regulations
* Collaborating with business portfolio leaders, application engineers, quality, manufacturing and other cross functional roles to provide regulatory/compliance input into new product introduction projects. Conduct regulatory assessments for new products during the commercialization process
* Engaging with regulatory authorities, notified bodies, or agencies with any post-market follow-up activities
* Performing routine regulatory tasks for new and existing products
* Keeping abreast of changes in all applicable standards and regulations/directives
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who meet following minimum requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) in an occupational health and safety, scientific, or engineering discipline
* Past experience in a regulatory affairs role in a private, public, government or military environment
* English communication in speaking and writing
Additional knowledge / nice-to-have skills / preferred qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
* Master's degree in an occupational health and safety, scientific, or engineering discipline from an accredited institution
* Three (3) year of experience with PPE in a regulatory affairs or related role in a private, public, government or military environment
* Working experience in multinational companies
* Strong interpersonal skills and able to build internal and external networks
* Self-starter who can effectively work in a fast-paced environment, with an appropriate sense of urgency
Job specifics:
* Location: 3M United Kingdom Plc, Bracknell
* Travel expectations: 5% (mainly domestic)
* Hybrid
* Working pattern: full time
