About this opportunity
These roles are situated in the Cumberland Global Resettlement Service within the Public Health and Communities Directorate. We are responsible for the planning and delivery of Refugee, Evacuee and Asylum-Seeking arrivals within Cumberland, delivering quality bespoke services to individuals and families whilst working closely with internal and external partners to deliver successful Resettlement across the region.
We are looking to recruit 2 Senior Resettlement Officers to join our team, one in the West coast and one based in Carlisle, reporting directly to Resettlement Team Managers and assisting with the planning, preparation and delivery of operational services. The Senior Officers will ensure quality assurance across the team through the development of resources, engaging and assisting community initiatives with Resettled families and people seeking Asylum, supporting the Team Managers and team by completing Practice Casework Supervision with staff, undertaking quality auditing processes, as well as holding a reduced caseload, including at Early Help level.
The ideal candidate should have experience of Early Help and Signs of Safety including Group Supervision, a good level of experience of using the Early Help Module or similar, and a level of understanding of resettlement, cultural needs and some knowledge of legislation and guidance which supports this area of work.
The applicant should have experience of working in a multi-agency capacity, both internal and external, and have the ability to engage and network across a range of services, providers and people.
