Job Purpose
Responsible for coordinating a programme of projects and work activity related to the company’s energy assets. The aim being to develop, maintain, coordinate, and deliver projects within the energy programme.
The energy assets and electrical systems comprise of HV and LV infrastructure, standby generators, and other energy storage systems. Alongside this, the role will be supporting the wider UUW operational carbon reduction plan, and spend-2-save programme areas.
You will work across UU with stakeholders to coordinate the activity and cost control of projects which sit within the energy infrastructure plans, as well as the energy resilience programme. Stakeholder groups include the Energy Infrastructure Operational Team, Electrical Engineering Team, Operational Directorates, and Asset Management.
You will also act on behalf of the Regional Energy Risk Manager liaising with many internal and external agents and organisations.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
* Contributing to the Energy Team service provision to the wider UU business areas. Responsible for coordinating and cost control of UUW High Voltage and Low Voltage (HV/LV) asset plans, inspections programme, and remedial works.
* Supporting the Regional Risk Manager in delivering the energy programme ensuring statutory compliance is met, and remedial work is prioritised to minimise H&S and resilience risk.
* Support business case development, and sponsorship for energy resilience and maintenance programmes requiring capital investment for UUW, e.g. efficiency improvements, PR24 enhancements, standby generation, ACB maintenance, and HV/LV programmes.
* Prepare and support the drafting of Project Requirements Statements to articulate the investment needs.
* Preparing risk information to allow decisions on project prioritisation.
* Complete close out report and confirm benefits realised from projects to track progress.
* Manage action log and close out of actions related to the energy programme.
* Support the coordination of change control around project requirements and benefits, escalating these as appropriate.
* Establish strong relationships with the Asset Management technical home, and championing and complying with the Risk and Asset Planning (WRAP) framework, where it is feasible and value add.
