The Job: Reporting to one of our Senior Legal Counsels, you will provide a comprehensive range of proactive specialist legal and technical support, advice, guidance, and recommendations across our UK business units. Your responsibilities will include drafting and interpreting complex legal documentation with precision, ensuring an understanding of the commercial intent, and maintaining the accuracy and appropriateness of the Group’s contractual documentation with customers, employers, and advisers for our pensions and investments business. Key Responsibilities: Provide specialist legal and technical support across UK business units Draft and interpret complex legal documents with a clear understanding of commercial intent Ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of the Group’s contractual documentation Advise on and ensure compliance with pensions and investments regulations We’d love to hear from you if you have: Expert technical knowledge of the pensions legal and regulatory regime, including HMRC, DWP, and TPR guidelines and practices, and an understanding of the various pension products available in the market Expert knowledge of investments, particularly as they pertain to platforms and workplace pension products, along with the regulation of investments Experienced at advising and communicating effectively, capable of working independently and as part of a team, and able to carry out the bulk of your work without direct supervision Qualifications: To excel in this role, you must hold a law degree and be qualified to practice in the UK. You should have several years of post-qualification experience, ideally within another financial services business or a financial services team in a law firm. Alternatively, you could be a senior pensions technical expert with significant in-house experience. It’d also be great – but not essential - if you’ve got: Knowledge of other areas of law impacting the administration of our products, particularly ISAs and trust law What’s in it for you?
