As a key member of our administrative team, you will be expected to undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice, including the provision of secretarial and clerical support to clinical staff and other members of the practice team. You will be required to project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone. Part of your role will be to assist and direct patient in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare in a courteous, efficient, and effective manner. To perform all clerical & administrative duties: To provide efficient audio, copy typing & word processing service for Practice staff teams as required. This includes the typing of letters, reports, patient referrals, minutes, memorandums, etc. in an accurate & quality manner. Managing choose & book to make appointments, bookings & admissions as required including e-Referrals To establish &maintain filing and administrative systems so that written/computer information is easily accessible & secure. To retrieve medical records & assist the completion of medical/insurance records. File patient records & correspondence in patient medical records. To receive incoming & initiate outgoing telephone calls in order to facilitate timely & appropriate communications with others, taking messages and dealing with appropriate queries. Utilising Lexacom To maintain the computer clinic system in an accurate & secure manner. To assist with the gathering of statistics & information when required. To provide cover for members of the practice team in periods of sickness & annual leave. In liaison with the clerk responsible, maintain adequate supplies of office stationery in order to perform your secretarial duties.
