KEY RESPONSIBILITES
The jobholder will be responsible for the production planning and expediting of key customer products.
• To plan and expedite the manufacture, test and shipment of key customer products o Manage customer demand via customer portal including downloading demand and responding with delivery date updates
o Work in conjunction with Raw Material team to highlight risks to customer deliveries, and feedback to customer as required
o Monitor and expedite wip with Operations, as required, to maximise OTD
▪ Including sub contractors as applicable; and Test Houses
• Communicate with customers providing delivery updates.
• Maximise customer on time delivery
• Support achievement of sales targets, ensuring information is maintained and clearly communicated.
• Participate and support On time delivery improvement; Ideas and initiatives.
• Support the other department responsibilities.
o Including cross training
• Provide support to New Product Introduction process and work to identify solutions to on time delivery.
• Support process control documentation associated with Production planning.
• Carry out any other duties as directed by the Senior Management Team.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND COMPETENCIES:
• Experience in a manufacturing environment essential.
• Ideally experience in some or all of these areas:
a. production planning
b. Expediting
c. Purchasing
d. Customer interaction and communication
e. Import / Export
• Good communication skills. A high level of responsiveness and communication with all levels of the organization, customers, and subcontractors is required.
• Good organization skills and high attention to detail.
• Time management/prioritisation. It will be critical to manage time effectively and order task priorities appropriately.
• Computer literate with strong Microsoft Excel" skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Self Starter. Must be able to achieve responsibilities with minimal day to day direction.
Interpersonal Skills. Must be able to motivate and drive operations and sub contract suppliers. Must be able to communicate appropriate information
