Job summary
We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic, organised person to join the ward clerk team at Heartlands Hospital to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate would provide administrative support to the paediatric ward being the first point of contact to all users of the service.
Main duties, tasks & skills required
1. Greeting Patients, visitors and staff
2. Updating Oceano system with admissions/transfers/discharges
3. Booking appointments
4. Liaising with staff/relatives
5. Answering phones/buzzers
6. Lifting/carrying patient notes
7. Filing notes
8. Requesting/booking outpatient notes via Case note tracking

Qualifications
Essential
* Good General Education (eg. GCSE English and Maths A-C) GCSE Level 9-4
Experience
Essential
* Experience of dealing with the Public/Customer service experience
* Experience of using IT systems
Desirable
* Experience of working with a range of Microsoft Office packages (eg. Word, Excel and Outlook)
* Experience of working in a busy environment
* Experience of working in Healthcare
