Job Description:
Applications are invited for the above temporary posts.
1. 1 x 40 hour post, available ASAP, for a period of 6 months with the possibility of extending.
2. 1 x 40 hour post, available from August 2025, for a period of 12 months.
These posts are aimed at Resident Doctors (ST1+) who have completed their FY training (or equivalent) and wish to gain further experience in the specialty of Trauma and Orthopaedics. The post will be based at the Trauma Unit in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and the Elective Orthopaedic Unit at Woodend Hospital, Aberdeen. You will be expected to support our FY trainees within the department as well as being given protected time to develop your surgical and clinical skills, audit, research and teaching. There are no on-call requirements for this post, although this may be available at the successful candidate’s request.

This post does not have educational approval from the Postgraduate Dean and will not be recognised for training.
