Plasman is currently seeking a new member to join our team as a Program Quality Engineer.
The Program Quality Engineer will manage, co-ordinate and assist in the activities of the process relating to customer part approval and program milestones at Plasman.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure that product/process control documentation is compliant with requirements and/or contracts.
* Analyze and coordinate all data related to part approval of new products and revised products.
* Ensure all deadlines are met at the plant locations relating to part approval.
* Audit documents submitted from the plant level before submission to customer.
* Responsible for managing Customer portal as it relates to part approval.
* Support in developing new suppliers if customer specific information is required.
* Track and approve sub-suppliers PPAP for new or revised components with support from plant quality and manufacturing teams.
* Ensure all milestones are communicated in an effective manner.
* Audit program milestone deliverables to confirm implementation of documentation requirements.
* Analyze and coordinate all data related to program milestone documents of new products and revised products.
* Ensure all deadlines are met at the plant locations relating to program milestones.
* Participate in internal and customer program readiness reviews.
* Provide support during root cause analysis of the issues that are preventing us from meeting customer requirements (dimensional issues, gauge R&R failures, test failures).
* Portal administrator as required (OEM or supporting portal systems).
* Create validation test plan with support from engineering: review requirements, understand customer specs and available surrogate data.
* Responsible to quote, kick-off and monitor progress of testing at applicable internal or external test facility. Document testing activities into a database.
* Evaluate test results, test method, & work with engineering team to investigate root cause of any test failures and countermeasure.
* Submit validation results to customers for approval (w/t OEM specific forms or systems).
* Share lessons learned related to PV testing with engineering team.
* Ensure strong customer and supplier relations.
* Assist in gauge design reviews and GD&T reviews with the customer and internally.
* Develop effective working relationships through proactive and regular communication with multiple suppliers and multiple functional groups within Plasman.
* Participate in lessons learned/feasibility reviews.
* Support Quality Systems and procedures for existing and new locations.
* During management system audit events provide evidence in support of conformance with applicable standards and procedures and participate in corrective action activities as necessary.
* Ensure personal awareness and understanding of ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 (includes ISO 9001) Standards, and company policies and procedures.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience We're Looking For
* Must possess a secondary school diploma or equivalent, with preference given to those who with a degree/diploma in Engineering or Quality.
* Must possess blueprint reading, SPC skills, basic computer skills to include proven experience with Excel and Word.
* Familiarity with measuring devices, blue print reading and tolerances.
* Familiarity with OEM portals, IMDS, ISO Standards and test protocols.
* Must have at least 5-7 years experience in Engineering or Quality.
* Must have experience in customer OEM PPAP requirements.
