Job Purpose:
A varied and interesting role where you will be responsible for the processing of accounting transactions including purchase ledger, sales ledger, cash and nominal ledger in order to assist in the production of timely and accurate monthly management accounts. Supporting the Finance Supervisor and Group Accountants as required. You will also have the opportunity to work on change projects as the Finance function continues to develop new systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
* Posting invoices on the accounting system
* Dealing with supplier queries
* Completion of Supplier Statement Reconciliations
* Prepare Aged creditors report for review monthly
* Cash postings
* Completion of Bank Reconciliations
* Processing expenses
* Assisting with other finance transaction processing, e.g. cancellations, refunds
* Administering Chargebacks on CRM system and accounting package
* Assisting with ad hoc tasks for the Management Accountant and Finance Supervisor as required
* Ensure invoice and transaction processing is completed on a timely basis
* Focus on accuracy and completeness of processing in the accounting system
* Balance sheet reconciliations
* Daily cashflow updates and reports to key stakeholders
* Opening post and maintain office filing system
What we are looking for in you:
* Minimum 1 year of experience in finance role - essential
* Sage 200 or equivalent accounting system - essential
* Ability to learn new processes quickly
* Ability to think on your feet
* Excellent attention to detail
* Good relationship building skills
* AAT or equivalent - desirable
