Are you looking for a new exciting opportunity working as a 2nd/3rd Line Support Engineer to be based in Rugby?
Main Duties of the Role
1. To hold a high level of customer service for all support queries.
2. To consult on infrastructure problems and provide suitable system and networking solutions.
3. To take ownership of user complex incidents, changes, and problems and be proactive when dealing with user issues.
4. To troubleshoot and resolve the more complex 3rd line issues that 2nd line engineers have escalated.
5. Proactively help resolve 1st / 2nd / 3rd line tickets where required.
6. Support the build and configuration of the server.
7. Provide timely support documents, procedures, and quick guides for the wider support teams.
Your Skills and Experience
1. Solid technical support experience, ideally within an MSP.
2. Good understanding of networking technologies and principles.
3. Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Hyper-V, Failover Clustering, and Microsoft Storage Spaces Direct.
4. Excellent knowledge of:
* Microsoft Server 2012 / 2016 / 2019.
* Active Directory / DFS / DHCP / DNS / RDS / VPN / WDS / WSUS / SCCM.
* Exchange On-Premise.
* Office 365.
1. Strong understanding of WAN & LAN networking concepts including: TCP/IP, DHCP, WINS, DNS.
2. Microsoft Windows 7 & 10, Office 2013 Onwards.
3. Laptop / Desktop rollout, rebuilds, imaging, support.
4. Excellent telephone manner.
5. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
6. Experience with IT best practices, particularly in relation to IT security and ITIL V3.
Salary
£30,000-£35,000 per annum.
