Location: RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking.
Due to the classified nature of the work involved, there are limited opportunities to work from home in this role. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will spend most of their time (~80%) working on site at AWE Aldermaston.
Package: £37,860-£56,800 (depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience)

Let us introduce the role
Working as part of a small team of experienced engineers, this role offers candidates the opportunity to grow their knowledge and experience, gaining the requisite depth of electronic technician operations to facilitate knowledge of warhead electrical systems so they can apply sound engineering principles to analyse these systems and develop their career with us.
Ask yourself:
1. Do you have product development experience?
2. Do you have experience developing test equipment?
3. Can you use Labview, Matlab or other programming language for test equipment automation and/or data analysis?
4. Do you know about component testing and the importance of conformity or testing/calibration?
5. Do you have knowledge or experience of reliability analysis?

Who are we looking for?
We do need you to have the following:
1. A degree in a relevant engineering discipline or relevant working experience
2. Knowledge or experience of capacitor/dielectric/semiconductor manufacturing techniques/materials/processes

Important things you need to know:
You will need to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role. This will be funded by AWE. The nature of our work does mean you need to be a British Citizen who has been resident in the UK for the past 5 years in order to apply for SC clearance and 10 years for DV.
