Our client is looking to recruit a forward-thinking, motivated Assistant Parts Manager to lead and manage a multi-branded main department on a daily basis, reporting to the Parts Manager.
This position is based in excellent premises representing a number of main manufacturer brands. Our client seeks someone who can demonstrate leadership skills. You will need to have strong knowledge of Parts KPIs and processes, while being an excellent communicator and people person. You will be responsible for a team of Parts Advisors and drivers, overseeing all daily functions within the department.
The department primarily focuses on supplying the Workshop back-counter, but also has a strong trade-counter operation, including oversees export.
Assistant Parts Manager Role:
1. Duties include the day-to-day running of the Parts Warehouse & Parts Call Centre. Supervising the warehouse assistants, van drivers, parts advisors & outgoing deliveries.
2. Running weekly stock reports and ensuring daily stock checks are completed and input.
3. Managing holidays and cover within the department.
4. Ensuring sales targets are met and liaising with manufacturers on their trade programmes.
5. Supporting the Group Parts Manager with day-to-day tasks to ensure the department runs smoothly.
About You:
1. The ideal candidate will be an excellent team worker with great organisational skills and the ability to work using their own initiative.
2. Hold a full clean driving licence.
3. Continuous training will be provided to further knowledge and skill set for career progression.
4. Ability to motivate and lead by example.
This position would ideally suit an existing Parts Manager or Supervisor with strong knowledge of running and overseeing a department.
Salary:
Basic £30-35,000 with OTE £35-40,000
Hours:
Monday to Friday 7am to 5pm with alternative Saturday on rota.
