About The Role As a Class Teacher, you will create an inclusive, engaging, and safe learning environment in a semi-formal KS2 setting, using specialist approaches to provide individualised support and help each student reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities Deliver a semi-formal curriculum designed to develop life skills, communication, and independence. Plan and assess personalised learning plans for students with complex needs, including autism, sensory impairments, and physical disabilities. Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals, ensuring holistic support for each student. Maintain a high standard of safeguarding, ensuring students’ health, safety, and well-being. Use behaviour management strategies tailored to individual needs. Qualifications And Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience of working with students with learning difficulties and/or complex needs, particularly in an SEN setting is preferred. Strong knowledge of SEN, including autism, sensory processing issues, and communication challenges. Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to teaching. Ability to create an inclusive, positive learning environment. Commitment to continuous professional development in SEN education. Experience delivering semi-formal and functional skills-based curriculums. Knowledge of positive behaviour management and trauma-informed practices.
