We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our team and provide tailored support to a student with additional learning needs. This role is ideal for a psychology graduate who understands the importance of emotional well-being and inclusive education. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 support to a student with SEN, including Autism, ADHD, or Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Implement strategies to promote engagement, confidence, and progress in learning. Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt lesson materials and create a supportive learning environment. Use your psychology knowledge to help manage behaviour and support emotional regulation. Foster independence and social development through structured interventions. Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to staff and parents. Requirements: A degree in Psychology (or a related field). Previous experience working with children, particularly those with SEN, in an educational or care setting. A strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and psychological approaches to learning support. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children’s development. Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent Why Join Us?
