We seek a Makerspace Manager and Instructor to work with students aged 8-18 from London UK. The ideal candidate will have a background in teaching design thinking, building maker space courses, and experience with hybrid learning models. Interdisciplinary thinking is critical. This role is ideal for someone to lead with passion, co-manage the center, and work with a supportive CCO.
We are looking for candidates with an entrepreneurial mindset in education and who can teach in our collaborative, project-based courses. Successful candidates will have content expertise, a dedication to collaboration, and a creative approach to design instruction. Responsibilities:
* Monitor instructors and provide support in the content area.
* Ensure all operations comply with safety, hygiene, and safeguarding standards.
* Manage various tools, including rapid prototyping tools, ceramics, fabric design, wood shop, desktop CNC, and AR/VR.
* Oversee machinery in all classrooms.
* Work independently and maintain open communication with the CCO.
* Collaborate with colleagues on in-person and hybrid courses.
Required Qualifications:
* Right to work in the UK.
* A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree.
* A minimum of 3-years teaching experience with students in primary and secondary education.
* Experience teaching Architecture, AutoCAD, and 3D Design.
* Experience with inquiry-based and/or project-based learning.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* A commitment to building a diverse, equitable and inclusive community.
* Willingness to take on multiple roles within the learning center.
* Personal traits for nurturing children - energetic, creative, flexible, and patient.
Preferred Qualifications:
* A degree in an academic/research field and/or professional experience.
* Capacity and desire to teach across multiple disciplines/subject areas.
* Experience in building culture and community with both adults and students.
* Experience in establishing collaborative relationships with external partners/organizations.

Cresconova Labs is a new learning center offering courses steeped in experiential learning with makerspace pedagogy. The Lab is located and completion of our new building is expected in early 2025. Interested candidates are invited to apply for a salary of 50-70k per year based on experience.
