On offer is a fully funded, industry-accredited training programme which offers you excellent specialist training in managing behaviours such as Trauma, Sexual Exploitation, and Attachment Disorders on top of a Diploma Level 3 in Residential Childcare. This role offers clear progression pathways from Support Worker into Managerial roles.
This is a role where you will be working with one of the most reputable care providers in the area and will benefit from ongoing training and support to ensure you have everything you need to become successful in the role.
Please note, this role will include working weekends, sleepovers, mornings, and evenings, so flexibility is required.

* Starting salary of £23,000 to £24,000 (depending on experience)

Responsibilities of the Therapeutic Residential Worker:
* Experience working as a Support Worker in a similar setting (including SEN or PRU schools, youth work, youth offending, children's social care - desirable as full training given)
* Ensuring to help the children with their emotional, physical, and developmental needs.
* Display yourself as an appropriate role model.
* Demonstrate a positive attitude, empathy, and resilience.
* Encourage positive life experiences for the children.
* Strong experience building rapport.
* Strong experience working in a team environment.
* Ability to communicate in a positive and open manner.
* Committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of others.
