We are seeking dynamic, enthusiastic and experienced Product / Senior Product Life Cycle Managers to join our team. This role is pivotal in managing the entire lifecycle of our deep tech products, from initial concept through to end-of-life. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in product management, excellent leadership skills, interpersonal skills and a passion for innovation. Product / Senior Product Life Cycle Managers are essential participants in directing all aspects of the product's lifecycle, from the moment it is launched until its finalisation. They will work with teams across functional areas (Sales, Engineering, Tech) and manage the design process and guarantee the product's success in the marketplace. Their knowledge of the dynamics of markets as well as product management and coordination of projects is key, trying to bring products that are successful to the market.
WHAT YOU’LL DO (Duties)
* Product Strategy: Develop and implement product strategies aligned with Digital Catapult missions such as supply chains and data driven and open future networks.
* Lifecycle Management: Oversee all stages of the product lifecycle, including market research, product development, launch, post-launch analysis and end of life. Responsible for implementing, managing, and delivering New Product Introductions, Product Enhancements and Customer Solution Requests.
* Market Research: Conduct market research to identify customer needs and market opportunities.
* Collaboration: Act as a subject matter expert and communicate with senior leadership and other functional teams' specialists on product issues. Work closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product Innovation, Marketing, and Commercial functions to ensure successful product development and launch.
* Roadmap Development: Create and manage product roadmaps, setting and prioritising goals. Ensure product releases consider the best customer experience possible.
* Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyse product performance using relevant tools and metrics, making necessary adjustments to meet objectives. They will be responsible for product targets including revenue, gross margin, direct costs.
* User Feedback: Collect and respond to user feedback to continuously improve the product.
* Competitor Analysis: Conduct competitor analysis to stay ahead of market trends and inform product development.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders and customers to ensure alignment and support for product initiatives. Communicate and prioritise production issues escalated by product support teams.
Requirements
* Proven experience in product management, preferably in a deep tech or industrial innovation-focused environment.
* Strong understanding of product lifecycle management principles.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional teams.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.
