The role:
Reporting to the HR Team Lead, you will act as a trusted advisor to managers and leaders across our Global Hubs with a focus on our team in UK and New York, providing expert guidance on all people-related matters. This is a true generalist role in which you will get involved in everything as part of a small but collaborative team, ensuring alignment with our brand’s values and strategic objectives. You’ll be an advocate for our culture, championing initiatives that drive engagement, performance, and inclusivity.
Key Responsibilities:
1. HR Operations:
o Oversee international HR processes within our UK and New York hubs, ensuring a consistent employee experience across geographies.
o Leverage our HRIS to manage HR processes efficiently, ensuring data integrity and accurate reporting.
o Use analytics to provide insights and recommendations to drive decision-making.
o Collaborate with the internal payroll team and external payroll providers to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
o Contribute to both project-based work and ongoing operational activities, driving transformation in the HR function.
o Lead and refine the regular ‘Business As Usual’ (BAU) processes, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
o Oversee onboarding, off boarding, background checks, and visa applications, ensuring compliance and smooth transitions.
o Support the automation of manual processes and create process guides to enable self-serve capabilities.
o Conduct training and/or briefing sessions on People and HR topics as required.
o Extensive experience with international employment relocation, including preparation and processing of documentation on behalf of employees for both UK and US Visa requirements.
o Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members within the HR function.
2. Strategic Business Partnering:
o Collaborate with business leaders to understand organisational objectives and develop HR strategies aligned with business goals.
o Provide salary benchmarking support.
o Act as a trusted advisor to management on HR-related matters including talent management, workforce planning, performance management, and organisational development.
3. Employee Relations:
o Handle complex employee relations issues with confidence and sensitivity, ensuring compliance with UK, New York and international employment law and company policies.
o Support managers in fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
4. Talent Management and Development:
o Identify and nurture top talent, ensuring robust development plans and career pathways are in place.
o Support performance management processes, including goal setting, feedback, and Performance Reviews.
o Work closely with the Head of HR to identify talent risk areas and proactively plan by driving feedback and insights which help them collaborate on value-add initiatives.
5. Change Management:
o Lead and support change initiatives, ensuring effective communication and minimizing disruption to employees and teams.
Requirements:
* Strong HR Generalist.
* Relevant and proven experience in a similar HR Business Partner or Advisor role, preferably with a Global reach.
* Strong understanding of UK and US (New York State specific) employment law and best practices.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
* Experience mentoring and providing guidance to junior team members.
* Proven experience to manage multi-priorities in fast paced and changing environment.
* Experience in change management.
