Fidarsi are partnering with a leading, independent financial institute to hire a HR Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR generalist, you will be the first point of contact for all day-to-day HR operations, handling a wide range of HR functions across the full employee lifecycle. This includes managing onboarding, contract creation, contract variations, employee relations, payroll actions, and parental leave. The HR Manager will also support visa processing for skilled workers, attend interviews, and participate in performance management meetings. This position will report directly to the Head of HR and will require someone with a high level of autonomy, excellent communication skills, and in-depth experience in HR processes.
This is a full-time position paying up to £60k, the exact compensation may vary based on experience, and is fully office based.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
* Oversee the full employee lifecycle, from contract creation, variations, and terminations to employee on-boarding and off-boarding processes.
* Act as the first point of contact for all HR-related inquiries from employees.
* Working alongside the Head of HR, handling initial employee relations (ER) issues in a timely, sensitive, and professional manner, escalating more complex matters to the Deputy Head of HR.
* Manage payroll actions, including any necessary adjustments or queries.
* Manage all aspects of parental leave, including complex cases such as shared parental leave.
* Process visa applications for skilled workers, ensuring compliance with immigration laws and company policies.
* Participate in interviews and recruitment activities.
* Support performance management processes, including appraisals and employee development initiatives.
* Maintain accurate employee records, ensuring compliance with HR policies and statutory requirements.
* Take minutes for HR meetings, including performance management and disciplinary meetings, as required.
* Ensure HR policies are followed in all HR processes and activities.
* Provide general HR advice and guidance to employees and management on a range of HR-related matters.
* Maintain strong working relationships with both management and employees, acting as a trusted advisor.
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
* Proven experience in HR management, including experience handling the full employee lifecycle.
* Experience with complex parental leave cases, particularly shared parental leave.
* Strong knowledge and experience in visa processing for skilled workers.
* Ability to work autonomously and handle multiple priorities efficiently.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, including minute-taking and documentation.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and issue resolution.
* Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
