The Role Summary: Title:Customer Account Manager Reporting line:Northern Ireland Operations Manager Location: Lisburn, Co. Antrim Overview: In this strategic role within Northern Snack Foods, your prime remit will be to develop, manage and build relationships with our customers to ensure continuous sales growth, enhanced profitability and strategic business development of the company. Lead, motivate, and mentor the Field Sales team in conjunction with the Operations Manager, providing coaching, guidance, and ongoing development opportunities. This position requires commercial, leadership, communication and presentation skills coupled with the ability to ensure exceptional execution of best-in-class commercial and business initiatives in a fast-paced FMCG environment. Reporting to our Northern Ireland Operations Manager and working alongside the Field Sales team, you will, through effective business planning processes, identify appropriate initiatives in the areas of channel planning, promotional strategies and account profitability modelling, to add mutual value to the relationships with our customers. With broad experience gained from an Account Management or similar role within a blue-chip FMCG environment, you will be able to demonstrate a highly progressive sales career coupled with experience of developing and implementing sales strategies. Because of the demanding nature of this role the successful candidate will need to have the ability to effectively influence at all levels and have the demonstrable drive, enthusiasm and capability to achieve the high expectations demanded of the role. Responsibilities: Through your leadership skills, foster a positive and collaborative team environment that encourages high performance and employee engagement Set clear and achievable sales targets for the team and monitor progress closely. Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel at National Account Head Offices. Development of solutions that best addresses customers needs while meeting the companys business requirements. Proactively collaborate with the companys Marketing, Category Insight and Sales Operations teams in establishing strategic direction of the organisations long term business plans. Continuously deliver accurate and timely forecast requirements to assist/drive planning process. Key stakeholder in the development and commercialisation of the companys category strategies and tactics. Maintain high customer satisfaction rating that meet company standards. Key skills & attributes: Industry knowledge- candidates will come from blue chip, performance orientated businesses, which have undergone periods of transformation. Candidates will demonstrate extensive sales management and people management experience with experience of embedding new ways of working. Business awareness- has a comprehensive understanding of developments in the retail sector, in particular trends impacting customer requirements and preferences. Strategic thinking- thinks deeply and broadly about the business, moves easily between strategy and tactics; devises clear practical plans for achieving complex goals. REQUIREMENTS: At least 5 years experience in a similar role. Previous experience in an FMCG organisation (or similar) would be an advantage.
