Unlock Dreams with N Family Club - We're For Dreams Of All Sizes Key Responsibilities • Create, and ensure there is, a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone plays as a team and can achieve their full potential, promoting the N Family Club culture and values • Be the Designated Safeguarding Lead in the absence of the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager; • Model outstanding care and education; • Be responsible for supporting the Deputy Manager to ensure the entire nursery team delivers the highest quality education in line with the N Pedagogy and Curriculum. You will ensure that the nursery self-evaluation is up to date and that actions are followed through promptly. This includes measures set by an Education Advisor, N100 audits, and mock inspections; • Be responsible for planning and logistics, including the pattern of the day routine, set up of learning experiences across the nursery, managing sufficient ratios and rotas; • Overall responsibility for the timely completion for the following: daily risk assessments; health and safety; EYFS statutory requirements and the overall quality of education; • Regularly review and update the nursery risk assessments, ensuring the nursery is a minimal risk environment and that all team members are well-versed in our specified control measures; • Continually action, maintain and critically assess all policies, procedures and practice to drive improvement and embed an open culture of behavioural safety; • Promote professional development by providing regular feedback, guidance, coaching and learning opportunities; • Build and maintain excellent relationships with parents, including nursery tours; • Manage Bank and Agency staff, when necessary, and ensure their documentation is appropriate and up to date when they arrive at the nursery. Manage their deployment and ensure they get an induction to the nursery before going into Family Rooms; • Provide cover in Family Rooms for any staff absences and appointments, be able to provide good care and model good practice for all ages meeting the Welfare requirements; • Assist the manager in personnel and staffing procedures and issues, including carrying out interviews for new staff, return to work interviews, one-to-one meetings, disciplinaries, etc; • Assist the Deputy Manager with invoicing and funding, dealing with queries relating to these and setting them up on the system; • Promote and role-model safeguarding procedures and the importance of child welfare, taking the lead as Designated Safeguarding Lead as and when required; • Ensure that our high standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the day • Respect and value all team members, children and parents, encouraging a positive and diverse working environment • Be a role model for exceptionally high standards, never cutting corners, thriving on feedback, and leading educational excellence. • Responsible for always adhering to the company's H&S policy: "Statement of Intent" • Support nursery operations with ad-hoc tasks to ensure the smooth running of the nursery
