The company is committed to professional development, with a supportive environment where employees are encouraged to thrive and grow.\n\nYour new role\n Our client is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Leeds, focusing on planned maintenance projects of up to £14 million.
The role will require an experienced individual with a strong understanding of cost management in the construction industry. The successful candidate will take a lead role in overseeing the financial and contractual aspects of planned maintenance contracts, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.\n\nResponsibilities will include:\n\nManaging and overseeing the full lifecycle of planned maintenance projects, from pre-construction through to completion.\n\nPreparing and managing cost plans, budgets, and financial reporting for multiple projects.\n\nProviding advice and guidance on contract negotiations and variations.\n\nEnsuring projects adhere to quality, safety, and compliance standards.\n\nManaging subcontractor relationships, including tendering, procurement, and contract administration.\n\nLiaising with clients, project managers, and senior stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives.\n\nPreparing and submitting final accounts, valuations, and reports.\n\nAssisting with risk management and identifying cost-saving opportunities.\n\nMentoring and providing support to junior members of the team.\n\nWhat you will need to succeed:\n\nProven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in planned maintenance or similar sectors.\n\nStrong knowledge of contract management, cost control, and procurement processes.\n\nExperience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, ideally in a senior position.\n\nA degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).\n\nMembership or working towards membership with RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) is advantageous.\n\nStrong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.\n\nThe ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.\n\nA proactive and problem-solving approach to challenges.\n\nWhat you get in return:\n In return, the successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £65,000 - £75,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
