Are you an experienced Quality and EHS leader ready to make a significant impact in a high-spec, fast-paced manufacturing environment?
We are looking for a proactive and experienced QEHS Manager to lead and manage all aspects of Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety (QEHS). Operating within the manufacturing sector, you'll play a critical role in ensuring compliance to key industry standards, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a culture of operational excellence and safety throughout the business.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead, mentor and manage the Quality Inspection team, promoting lean practices and high-performance culture.
2. Own and develop the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with ISO9100, ISO14001, ISO45001 and customer requirements.
3. Take the lead on the company's transition and implementation of ISO45001, embedding it into operational processes.
4. Plan and execute internal audits, manage external audit readiness, and maintain certification standards across the business.
5. Work closely with the procurement and supply chain teams to manage supplier audits, improve supply chain performance, and enforce quality compliance.
6. Monitor and report on QEHS KPIs, identify trends, and lead initiatives to improve quality, reduce risk, and increase efficiency.
7. Lead and oversee incident investigations, implementing corrective and preventative measures to maintain a safe working environment.
8. Ensure effective COSHH management, Legionella control, and statutory EHS compliance across all areas.
9. Champion a positive safety culture, promoting continuous awareness, training, and engagement at all levels.
About You
1. Proven experience in a Quality and EHS leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
2. Deep understanding of QMS standards: ISO9100, ISO14001, ISO45001.
3. Strong background in audit processes, supplier quality management, and root cause analysis.
4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and develop cross-functional teams.
5. Highly organised with strong documentation and compliance attention.
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality management software.
Qualifications
1. HNC/HND or Degree in an Engineering, Quality, or related discipline.
2. IOSH Certificate (essential)
3. NEBOSH Certification (desirable)
4. Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt (desirable)
5. Full UK driving licence
