The Program Coordinator I position earns a competitive pay of $12.99/hr. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PROGRAM COORDINATOR I (Community Health Worker)
As a Program Coordinator I, you spend your day being part of community events. Your work typically involves coordinating activities assisting in interdepartmental and citywide events. Your job is essential to the city; your work involves submitting data reports, participating in community events, coordinating wellness activities and citywide events. You are constantly on your toes and ready for any new and unexpected challenges that may arise in the city. This can include providing health risk screenings and nutrition education. You also support environmental and policy change strategies for better population health. You enjoy being helpful and have no problem providing assistance and support to other divisions within the department as needed. Qualifications For a Program Coordinator I
* High school diploma, GED or equivalency
o Preferred: Bachelor Degree in related field
* Experience in overseeing operations of programs and activities
* Must have a current valid class "C" driver's license from the Texas Department of Public Safety with a satisfactory driving record
* Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test administered by the City of Edinburg at the city's expense
