We are looking for a dedicated individual to provide administrative support to Te Rūnanga o Arowhenua Marae as our Office Administrator. This role provides a unique opportunity to contribute to the lives of current and future generations of Kāti Huirapa whānau.
Reporting to the Marae Manager, you'll help us keep our daily operations running smoothly through the provision of administrative support across a range of duties, including reception duties, financial administration, and management of marae bookings. This role is ideal for someone who loves working in a dynamic environment, enjoys helping others, and takes pride in maintaining a well-organised workspace.
Responsibilities and Requirements:
1. 1 - 2 years' experience working in an administrative role.
2. Strong customer service skills are essential - must have the ability to manaaki (look after) manuhiri (visitors) and whānau/Rūnanga members of Te Rūnanga o Arowhenua.
3. Experience with Microsoft suite of programmes (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) to a high level.
4. Knowledge of accounting software - MYOB experience would be advantageous.
5. Excellent time management, planning, and organisational skills.
6. Alignment to Te Rūnanga o Arowhenua tikanga and kawa (values, customs, and core principles), and a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, along with a demonstrated openness to learning and embracing a bi-cultural environment.
