About The Role
Join the Samworth Brothers Team and become part of our dynamic family! We are looking for analytical and thorough individuals to join us, working within our Technical job family. Once a new product has been developed by our chefs, the Technical team then work towards bringing these recipes into production whilst maintaining the safety and integrity of the product. This could be developing the production process, ingredient specifications, packaging information, product life or the quality & safety of food at all stages of production. Our Technical team also monitor and control our food safety standards, making sure that every single product reaches the consumer fresh, and safe to eat.
Our 24-month programme is an exciting opportunity to take an accelerated route into management by gaining broad experience as you work across four different 6-month placement roles.
Genuine roles – every one of our placement roles has been designed to offer you responsibility and variety as our aim is to provide you with a thorough understanding of the business and a valuable breadth of experience.
Support – we are fully invested in your success. From your line managers and colleagues, through to L&D coaches and a dedicated Early Careers team, you will be provided with the support you need to succeed. And as your development is a priority to us, we also offer you individual, professional mentoring with a senior leader who will help you to gain unique understanding from a leadership perspective and build your professional network.
Graduate Development Programme – delivered in partnership with one of the UK’s leading learning providers, the programme offers lively experiential learning modules to progress your understanding of business operations and management, and you will put your learning into practice in the workplace to build on your new skills, ultimately leading to a formal management qualification.
The Right Person
We want to work with people who are passionate about food and have an appetite for challenge – turning your academic success into commercial progress will take commitment, energy and skill. We operate in a fast-paced industry so excellent organisation skills are essential. You will be confident with excellent interpersonal skills and be flexible to relocate to our Samworth sites based in Leicester, Cornwall, Worksop, Shoreham-by-Sea, and Manchester (relocation support provided). You will be highly numerate with exceptional analytical skills as well as have a commitment to quality, and safety.
In addition, you will require to meet the following criteria:
* On target to achieve or achieved 2:2 or above in a Food Technical or Science related degree
