Applications are then invited for a Band 6 nurse for Children's Outpatients. Main duties of the job
* The Junior Sister / Charge Nurse will actively participate and contribute to the management of the Clinical areas.
* They will act as a mentor – teaching and supervising junior staff and colleagues, including student nurses, healthcare support workers, medical staff and AHP’s.
* The Junior Sister / Charge Nurse will provide clinical expertise to the discipline of the clinical areas.
* To carry out 2 allergy testing clinics per week in Children’s Outpatients supporting the paediatric consultant.

EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS
* RSCN, RN (Child Branch)
* Practice Assessor/Practice Supervisor
* Leadership/Quality Improvement
* Evidence of professional development- Interest in allergy testing.
SKILLS/ ABILITIES
* PILS/EPALS certified
EXPERIENCE/ KNOWLEDGE
* Experience as Senior Band 5 Nurse – has experience of taking charge on shift of the ward.
