Our Client has a requirement for a Senior Engineer (Highways), who will be required to work on a contract basis in Plymouth.
The role will offer a flexible hybrid approach of (4 Days' Remote - 1 Day on site).
Role Purpose:
Oversee the design and construction of roadway projects for submarine facilities.
Ensure quality and timely delivery of highway engineering work packages.
Act as a Subject Matter Expert in highway engineering to support project objectives.
Job Role Responsibilities:
Manage one or more technical design packages, ensuring they meet project goals and quality standards.
Ensure compliance of design documentation with project requirements, budgets, and timelines.
Assist in maintaining effective Quality Management Arrangements according to company standards.
Document processes and maintain records for quality control and configuration management.
Communicate risks and ensure contractors understand the hazards related to their work.
Provide design information for the Facility Safety Case to ensure engineering activities are justified.
Liaise with Engineering Services Technical Authority to apply Relevant Good Practice.
Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:
Engineering degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline with significant experience.
Chartered Engineer status or actively working toward it.
Experience working collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams across various project types.
Demonstrable experience managing a variety of tasks of varying complexity.
Strong communication skills with the ability to interface with other engineering disciplines.
