Academic Services Coordinator
Location: Cheltenham, UK
Salary: £11.44 - £12.50 per hour (DOE)
Hours: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: 6-week contract starting in November
We are looking for an organised and approachable Academic Services Coordinator to support our school office in Cheltenham. This role involves working closely with students, staff, and parents to ensure smooth daily operations and effective communication. Ideal for someone with a background in administration or student services, this role requires a friendly, solutions-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Monitor and manage student attendance records, ensuring data is accurately updated each day.
2. Contact parents/guardians regarding attendance issues, addressing concerns and queries efficiently.
3. Assist in coordinating cover arrangements for absent teachers, ensuring minimal disruption to lessons.
4. Prepare attendance reports and other documentation for senior leadership, highlighting key trends.
5. Serve as a point of contact for students, providing information and guidance as needed.
6. Support general office administration, maintaining an organised and welcoming environment.
Key Requirements:
1. Previous experience in a school, student services, or similar administrative role is desirable.
2. Strong communication skills, with the ability to handle inquiries professionally and empathetically.
3. Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to multitask in a busy office.
4. Proficient in IT systems, including Microsoft Office.
5. Reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining confidentiality.
