Commercial Contracts Manager

Are you passionate about caring for the environment? We have an exciting opportunity to join our Assets Commercial team as a Commercial Contracts Manager. Reporting to the Lead Commercial Manager, you will provide contracting support to our project managers and procurement teams for the review, drafting and negotiation of a broad range of commercial and contractual matters across frameworks and contracts, providing clarity and guidance on contractual issues, supporting the escalation and dispute process and ensuring all parties are aligned with the terms and commitments laid out within the contracts.
You will work closely with our legal teams to ensure that contracts are in compliance with legal, regulatory and organisation policies and deploy control measures to monitor the contracting process to assure compliance with the organisation's contractual guidelines, commercial and contracting standards and mitigates client risk where appropriate.
You will act as a contract liaison, including participation in precontract discussions, contract negotiations and recommending and implementing contract changes through templates and change management. You will be the owner of the central contract templates and lessons learned feedback process
In this role, you will assess the commercial risk of contracts and liaise with peers to ensure risks are understood and appropriate mitigation measures are in place through the contract where appropriate. You will assist in resolving any contract-related disputes or issues that arise.
You will maintain detailed records of the company's contracts, both current and past regularly communicating with stakeholders to update them on contract status and addressing any concerns.
About you
If you have experience in contract management, procurement or legal roles within the construction environment, we want to hear from you. You will have a strong Commercial and contracting background in an NEC4 environment and experience of negotiating complex framework contracts.
You will be able to manage multiple contracts simultaneously with a detail-oriented approach and be a strong communicator, able to confidently deliver to all stakeholders both internally and externally.
