A Data Distribution (DDA) Team Leader, who will lead a team of engineers delivering high quality reporting and data extracts to the Business.
The DDA development teams are fast paced, dynamic and exciting to lead. You will be responsible for managing the team, leading large-scale projects, liaising with other departments and ensuring high-quality work. Additionally, you will continuously seek to improve systems and processes to meet the ever-growing and changing demands of the Business and regulatory bodies.
You will be responsible for ensuring that the design, development and delivery of outputs is of the highest quality and delivered in a timely manner. In return, this will be utilised throughout the Business and regulatory bodies.
The current technology stack includes Microsoft SQL Server and MicroStrategy.

Preferred skills and experience
* Recent commercial database development experience, preferably with MicroStrategy 2021 or SQL Server 2012 or later.
* Strong understanding of database design concepts and techniques with the ability to convert complex problems into simple solutions.
* Highly organised and adaptable, capable of managing multiple substantial work streams simultaneously.
* Adept at prioritisation, delivery and driving efficiency in a high throughput environment.
* Ability to understand technical vernacular and effectively communicate this to technical and non-technical staff.
* Excellent attention to detail, whilst being aware of the bigger picture.
* Great interpersonal skills with ability to inspire and motivate teams, encouraging harmonious and effective work.
* Previous team management experience is desirable.
Main Responsibilities
* Acting as a line manager for a busy team of engineers with varying degrees of experience.
* Prioritising, triaging, assigning and tracking of work streams.
* Ensuring the highest level of governance is carried out on all work items.
* Liaising with the Business and management, providing progress updates and escalations when required.
* Ensuring that requirements from the Business are accurate and complete.
* Managing the team’s output to meet requirements, adhering to the best architectural and design practices, ensuring code is simple, efficient and clean.
* Continuing to improve work practices and procedures.
* Taking responsibility for appraising, mentoring, coaching and developing the team, as best meets their needs.
* Ensuring the quality and integrity of highly optimised databases and aggregations that underpin most of the DDA reporting functions, as well as high profile reporting for the Board, Finance department and regulatory bodies.
