This is a newly created role as a result of a significant, recently awarded tender, the role presents the Quantity Surveyor the opportunity to join a world-class organisation with renowned training and career development programmes and the chance to develop a rewarding long-term career.
The Role Working as part of a commercial team reporting to the Managing Quantity Surveyor, the QS will be involved with assisting in every aspect of the commercial life cycle of schemes including:
Sub-contract monitoring and management, cost reporting and forecasting,
Managing early warnings and change control, agreeing on final accounts with the supply chain.
Stakeholder Management
Cost and Value Reporting
Supporting operations team with commercial advice
Providing leadership to junior Quantity Surveyors
Experienced Required
Suitable applicants must be educated to HNC /BSc Quantity Surveying or similar and will be able to demonstrate experience working at Assistant or Quantity Surveying level within the civil engineering sector.
The role could suit an experienced Quantity Surveyor or and ambitious Assistant QS ready to take the next step up the career ladder to Senior QS level.
Project experience on civils, infrastructure or utility schemes is essential An understanding of NEC contracts and excellent presentation and communication skills are also essential
Quantity Surveyors wishing to apply must be confident in dealing with stakeholders from different disciplines to establish a complete commercial understanding
