Salary £34,627.78 per annum (Inclusive of on call)
Benefits: Company Vehicle, company pension scheme, BUPA (single cover), 33 days holiday (including bank holidays). Overtime available at time and a half. Technicians are paid DOOR to DOOR.

We are advertising this Building Fabric Technician (Joiner) role on behalf of our client ‘City Facilities Management’. City was established in 1985 and has grown to become one of the world’s largest privately held, integrated FM companies.
Job Purpose: The Building Fabric Technician is a multi-site role offering building fabric maintenance services across various disciplines to keep services and costs in-house. Responsibilities include a mix of PPM and reactive building fabric works both internally and externally, including:
Building:
* Roof - repair roof leaks, gutter and gully repairs and replacement
* Brickwork – repairs to walls
* Floor – repair and replacement of vinyl and ceramic tiles
* Car Park / yard works
Fabric:
* Install and repair internal cladding, wall tiling, doors, protection works, office workstations, signage, carpentry, plastering, and general shop fittings.
* Painting and decorating, including minor repairs.
* Carry out plumbing and drainage tasks such as replacing toilets, sinks, drainage lines, and sanitary units, and repairing leaking taps and washers.
Joinery:
* Repair of walls, floors, and associated fittings.
* Ironmongery and hardware repairs and replacements.
Planned Maintenance:
* Roller shutters – annual PPM and reactive repairs
* Trolley bay – bi-annual PPM
Key Accountabilities:
* Attend training courses as necessary.
* Perform minor alterations and installations within technical competence.
* Complete all PPM and reactive maintenance schedules on time and accurately.
* Respond promptly to service requests, assess requirements, and carry out repairs.
* Update the Mercury system with live job updates.
* Prioritize and complete maintenance and repair work within agreed timescales.
* Maintain/repair a range of building fabrics and ground works to recognized standards with minimal supervision.
* Liaise with project teams on alterations, modernizations, and relevant works.
* Identify non-repairable issues and advise the AMM with recommendations.
* Attend other sites as needed to carry out work.
* Support other City technicians/teams with maintenance tasks.
* Comply with company policies, procedures, and health and safety policies.
* Complete mandatory training and modules.
* Represent the company professionally and develop good relationships with colleagues and clients.
* Maintain quality standards and ensure costs are approved.
Candidate Background & Experience:
* Educated to GCSE / Standard Grade level minimum.
* Must be a time-served Joiner/carpenter.
* Experience in quality repairs on doors, flooring, locks, etc.
* Level 2 NVQ in General Building Operations or similar is desirable.
* Level 2 NVQ in Painting and Decorating is desirable.
