2539 – Power BI Developer, Perth, Aberdeen or Glasgow
We have an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and skilled Power BI Developer to join our team, ideally you will be based near Perth, but we will also consider candidates in Aberdeen or Glasgow. This is a hybrid role working a 2/3 pattern (minimum of 2 days onsite).
What you’ll do
* Develop, design, and transition Power BI reports and dashboards
* Provide guidance for quality and consistency of presentation used in Pi Vision deliverables
* Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into technical requirements
* Work with the data team within the expectations of governance and controls
* Create data models and establish connections to various data sources
* Optimise Power BI dashboards with a focus on usability and performance
* Implement and maintain data security and access controls
What to bring
* Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or in a similar role
* Strong proficiency in Power BI, including DAX and Power Query
* Experience with data modelling, data and lake warehousing including Microsoft Fabric and ETL processes
* Experience with ingesting data from spreadsheets within SharePoint into data or lake warehouse
* Familiarity with SQL and relational databases
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, as well as within a team under direction
* Experience of report development with Operational Technology data would be desirable
