A vacancy has arisen for an Outpatient Receptionist based at Doncaster Royal Infirmary working for Patient Administration Support Services.
You should have effective communication skills, the ability to multi-task, and work as part of a team. You will be enthusiastic, professional, compassionate, and competent with a willingness to contribute ideas to provide the very best patient-centred care. A flexible approach to work, including working across the Trust sites, is an essential part of the post.
Previous experience of working within a hospital environment and reception duties with knowledge of medical terminology would be an advantage although not essential as full training will be given.
A minimum of three GCSEs or equivalent at grade 4 or above (grade C or above) are essential, including English and Mathematics (or equivalent). You should also have demonstrable working knowledge of core Microsoft packages including Word. You will be asked to provide evidence of certification if invited to an interview.
Main duties of the job
To provide reception and administrative support for some of the outpatient Reception areas supported by PASS. The post holder will work in a busy environment and after training will work on various reception areas, and will be well-organised in order to plan, prioritise, and manage high volumes of work to meet tight deadlines. Excellent communication, computer, and customer-facing skills are also essential, along with practiced Word and Excel skills, combined with a strong attention to detail.
A flexible approach to work, including covering planned leave and working across the Trust sites when required.
