Full-Time Teaching Assistant (SEN Support) – Primary School Location: Bristol, BS30 Contract Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM) Are you passionate about working with children and making a difference in their learning journey? We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a wonderful primary school on a full-time basis. This exciting opportunity involves supporting pupils 1:1 who may have Special Educational Needs (SEN). Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 support for students with SEN, helping them access the curriculum. Assist in developing individualized learning plans and activities tailored to each student's needs. Support classroom teachers in maintaining a positive and engaging learning environment. Foster social and emotional development in pupils, encouraging positive behaviour and communication. Work collaboratively with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and other support staff to monitor and assess student progress. Requirements: Experience working with children in any capacity (e.g., as a sports coach, youth worker, psychology graduate, or similar roles). A patient, empathetic, and proactive attitude to support children with SEN. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with children and staff. No prior classroom experience required, though a genuine passion for working with children is essential. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
